by the Quality Assurance Council of the UGC

Hong Kong Baptist University is committed to academic excellence in teaching, research and service, and to the development of whole person in all these endeavours built upon the heritage of Christian higher education. It aspires to be a leading liberal arts University in Asia for the world delivering academic excellence in a caring, creative and global culture. A robust quality assurance (QA) mechanism has been in place to ensure all academic programmes offered by the University meet the appropriate standard and are at an internationally competitive level.

The Quality Assurance Council (QAC) was established in April 2007 under the aegis of the University Grants Committee (UGC). One of the core tasks of the QAC is to conduct institutional quality audits of teaching and learning. This website serves to provide information about HKBU’s preparation for and follow-up to the UGC-QAC Quality Audits.

The third audit cycle will cover all programmes at the levels of sub-degree, first degree and above, and the selected audit theme is the Collection, Analysis and Usage of Data. The Audit Panel Visit will be conducted in March 2023 and the Audit Panel will be interested in how universities collect, analyse and use data in their management of academic quality and standards, and make evidence-based decisions designed to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. During the Panel visits, Panel members will be meeting different stakeholders to collect relevant evidence.
